Scum can also leave suspicious players alive to plant the seed of doubt and count on Town mislynching them. WIFOM is yet another reason for Town!babark to survive N2 besides the role being more of a burden than help. Surviving for a Night or two isn't THAT damning under the current circumstances. I mean, RW will also survive and his claimed role is objectively more useful to Town and dangerous to scum than yours. But I like your approach here - to think you were left alive for being useless rather than for WIFOM reasons. Let the Town come to that conclusion on their own so it doesn't look like you came into D3 prepared with a bunch of reasons on why you are still alive.

It stands for "Wine In Front Of Me". Make sure to ask what it is in the game thread if someone brings it up ;) It originates from a scene in a lovely movie called The Princess Bride where one of the villains is trying to figure out a sort of a riddle that has been given to him ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMz7JBRbmNo). His thought process goes along the lines of "I would guess X but you would have known I'd guess X so you did Y instead but you also would have known I would have known you knew so you did X to double bluff me" and so on. Basically an endless loop of back and forth with the sole purpose of muddying the waters so much that people start doubting everything including themselves, others and so on. In one word - chaos.

That's the problem with RW - his role's usage isn't necessarily limited to suspects - he may also just want to gather more data for people in general and try to confirm potential allies. To be honest I'm not sure what gives us better chances. Maybe you can sit on your power Tonight and we hope no one picks me up moving about. That way if RW targets you he can say you did nothing which would give you Town points and if both of us survive D3 we can consider taking care of him. If we're extremely lucky he may be taken care for us during D3. In theory this could work very well as people may give you enough credit to leave you alone for a bit longer. Unfortunately it can be waste of your power on N2 as someone may still decide to push for you as a policy lynch like we did with buck - your role isn't really all that helpful to the Town, as a matter of fact can be an obstacle and you haven't been extremely engaged with helping the Town so far, either. On paper you aren't the worst of lynches and you may still end up on the menu on D3, possibly even right out of the gate. So I really can't say which is better. Screw it, let's try to give you a bit more breathing room. You sit pretty Tonight and I'll just Leeroy Jenkins HSL. It the see me, they see me. I'll figure something out on the go. During the Day, whatever you do, the most important thing for you is to be consistent with the things you did and said previously even if they aren't automatically in Town's best interest. As long as you're consistent and you don't make inexplicable shifts in behavior and reads you may still be seen as a Townie who isn't terribly invested rather than scum. Since we're running out of time I'll just set tentative actions so we don't miss our window but feel free to change them however you see fit in case we don't get to talk in real-time before Lift wraps the Night up. babark does nothing
Dedo strongman kills HSLNoted. I'll start the new Day this evening.

You had a good run, convincing most that you are Town. However, HSL's lucky shot really tilted the scales.

How long can these games go on for? I mean, do you have a limit to the number of Days?

Depends on the number of players. The game goes on until either all hostile factions are wiped out or until Town numbers so few, that a scum faction controls the vote. I.e. comprises half of the players or more. In your case you would have to kill/mis-lynch all but one other player.
Or do you mean if you go on not killing anyone? In that case the game becomes slower and everything has to be done via mis-lynches. And if we get the strange situation that there are no Nightkills and no lynches either, then I would at some point hold a hidden vote among all surviving players whether we can agree on a draw.
So, the big question is: will you risk killing someone at Night? Or not?

Yes, I meant if I don't kill someone.
If I NK RW, I'll be suspected the next day and likely lynched. I could potentially work my way out of this one, but I'm pretty certain HSL has his power aimed at me, and razza, if he has a protective role, probably has RW protected, so I'd be caught out immediately, and not have accomplished anything.
I could instead NK HSL (or someone else). I'd probably still get targetted by HSL's power as well as RW detecting me, and thus be caught out immediately by HSL. If HSL is not targetting me, I'd still have to deal with RW who would have caught me out.
If I don't kill someone, then I'm suspected and lynched the next day. I might be able to work my way out of that for a day or two, but I'm not going to be able to go until there's only 1 other player left.
In fact, I don't think I'll be able to go until there's only 1 other player left anyway, so I might as well go out in a blaze of glory (and a tiny, tiny chance of getting my move through), instead of dragging this out unnecessarily.
So... I night-kill RW
